My name is Malia Neighbours I was born in Oahu, Hawaii and lived all around the world before my parents settled in Calgary where I have lived for the past 37 years. Living in Europe, Australia and other countries, although I was pretty young, I always wanted to remain in Calgary. Calgary has an infectious vibe, we are fun, hard workers and live in the most beautiful part of the world. I have an incredible son and three equally awesome step-sons, one grand baby and a fantastic husband. Since I was small I have always had a passion for real estate. Every time we moved I got very excited imagining my life in that new home, new community and learning a new culture. These experiences taught me firsthand how important it is to find the perfect home to fit your family’s needs and wants. There are no tricks to sell your home faster than others. However, there are tips that can help you sell faster and, potentially get you a higher price:

  • try to be objective, look at your home with "buyers eyes"

  • de-clutter, take the personal out of the home so that the buyers can envision their new life in your house

  • make your house sparkling clean, not just for the pictures, but always, for open houses, showings, always

  • make the outside of your home inviting. Curb appeal is a big one, clean up the yard, have your front door scream "come in and make this your home"
